It\u2019s because Amazon runs a limited-time promotion where the new colors are offered at prices slashed by as much as 27%. A price drop this high is typical for Black Friday or Prime Day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In other words: if you buy the 16 GB Kindle Paperwhite in a new color, you will pay $20 less than for the 8 GB variant. The price is down by as much as $50, to the level of the regular Paperwhite. You save enough to buy an original case cover.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>When it comes to covers, the original ones are already offered in corresponding colors. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/dp\/B08VZCBWN8\/?tag=eflykd-20\">Fabric covers in Denim and Agave Green were released back in 2021<\/a>. They cost $34.99.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>You may ask: Does the color matter at all? It\u2019s hidden behind the case, anyway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It does matter if you prefer a sleeve.
