The new tablet costs only $49.99, and it offers 8 GB internal memory that can be expanded via microSD slot. The display is 1024 \u00d7 600 px, with a pixel density of 171 ppi.<\/p>\n

The new Nook is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad-Core processor and comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system enhanced with the special interface designed to make buying and managing Nook content easier.<\/p>\n

Unlike four previous tablets, the 2016 7-inch Nook was not made in cooperation with Samsung. It affects the availability of cases. Samsung Galaxy Tab devices usually come with a big number of accessories. These accessories were compatible with Nook-branded models.<\/p>\n

The 2016 Nook tablet was launched together with two original case designs: the regular folio cover, and the kid-proof case. After a few months, a few third-party case producers released new models that are custom-fit for the 2016 Nook.<\/p>\n
