That&#8217;s why it&#8217;s extremely\u00a0important to keep\u00a0kids\u00a0love books.<\/strong><\/div>\n<p>These days, children get easily distracted by\u00a0games or videos.<\/p>\n<p>The problem is not only that they prefer gaming to\u00a0reading. The problem is a big number of games they can play, and videos they can watch.<\/p>\n<div class=\"sideinfo\"><strong>See also:<\/strong><br \/>\n[ef-archive number=2 tag=&#8221;lists&#8221; ]<\/div>\n<p>Just like we zipped through TV channels, our kids jump from one game to another\u00a0and from YouTube video to another\u00a0without even finishing.<\/p>\n<p>In the long run it leads to shortening attention span. It will be more and more difficult to keep our kids&#8217;\u00a0attention on one topic or activity for longer than a couple of minutes.<\/p>\n<p>We shared already several infographics and charts on how to encourage children to read. An infographic created by <a title=\"Love Reading 4 Kids\" href=\"http:\/\/www.lovereading4kids.co.uk\/\"  >Love Reading 4 Kids<\/a>\u00a0is a great addition. It lists tips on how\u00a0to draw &#8211; and keep &#8211; kids&#8217; attention on reading.<\/p>\n<p>Among twelve ideas to use, there is also the one that includes technology.
